Can My Dog(s) Pull Me on a Scooter ?Any breed/size of dog can excel and enjoy Dog Scootering ! When scootering with a small dog you just have to stay on level pathways and get off the scooter when going up or down hills, and you do not go as fast.Dog scootering should exercise you and your dog(s) as you work as a team. It is not just your dog(s) doing all the work. |

How Do I Train My Dog for Dog Scootering ?First you teach your dog(s) the sled/skijor/scooter commands while you become skilled at riding the scooter on your own ! Your dog should know and obey the directional commands in order to go Dog Scootering safely.By joining our class you and your dog will learn the appropriate commands, proper training, stretching exercises, trail etiquette, and safety tips for you and your dog. For those who have passed the Dog Scootering course you are invited to join our Trailmates Scootering members for FUN runs which also helps to further train your dog. These outings run all year long as we go Skijoring in the winter and Dog Scootering in the late Spring, Summer and Fall. |
What Equipment Do I Need ?; Use my equipment while you learnScooters, Tuglines and Harness, will be available to class participants while you learn.. Students will learn correct harness fit, care and use of equipment. Harness and tuglines will be available to purchase during the course. |

However, you can teach your dog the commands before they are 18 months When your dog is 18 months old you and your dog will be ready to get out there and go..... scootering, skijoring ,crossledding !
